Editorial Policy

Topic Selection

Softcue Journal selects topics based on their relevance to the structural and communicative features of executive interviews and business broadcasting in Canada. We focus on format conventions, narrative patterns, production context, and the observable dynamics of on-camera professional communication.

We do not cover topics that fall outside this editorial scope, including market movements, investment themes, specific company performance, or consumer financial products. Our selection criteria are editorial rather than commercial.

Editorial and Informational Nature of Materials

All materials published by Softcue Journal are editorial and informational in nature. Articles, analyses, and commentary represent the editorial perspectives of this publication on structural and communicative patterns in broadcast journalism. They are not factual reporting on specific current events, and they do not constitute news in the regulatory sense.

Where we describe broadcast practices, interview structures, or production conventions, we do so from a descriptive and analytical standpoint. We do not claim expertise in communications law, broadcast regulation, or professional media ethics beyond what is observable in publicly available broadcast content.

No Financial Advice

Nothing published by Softcue Journal constitutes financial advice. We do not comment on the financial performance of media companies, broadcasters, or any other commercial entity. We do not analyse securities, market conditions, or economic indicators. Any incidental reference to business or economic context in our editorial content is descriptive only.

No Investment Recommendations

Softcue Journal does not make investment recommendations of any kind. The analytical coverage on this site focuses on broadcast communication and studio interview formats, not on the commercial or financial prospects of any organisation.

No Product or Service Promotion

This publication does not promote, endorse, or advertise any product or service. We do not accept sponsored content, native advertising, or commissioned coverage. Our editorial decisions are made independently of any commercial relationship.

How Materials Are Updated

Articles on this site may be updated periodically to reflect new editorial observations or to correct errors. When an article is updated, the updated date is noted in the article metadata. Material changes to an article's analytical conclusions are noted in the article text where appropriate.

We do not remove articles from publication except where there is a clear factual error that cannot be corrected through a visible update. In such cases, a notice is added to the article explaining the nature of the correction.

Independence

Softcue Journal operates as an independent editorial project. It is not affiliated with any broadcast network, media company, corporate communications body, or journalism institution. The editorial judgments expressed on this site are those of this publication alone.
